Red Hat Subscription Business Model Defined

Red Hat sells subscriptions that entitle end-customers to receive a set of services that support open source software (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Applications and JBoss) during the subscription term.

Red Hat solutions are delivered as annual subscriptions. Subscriptions are renewable. End- customers are charged an annual subscription fee per system.

Technology - tested and certified software products and expert documentation

  1. Certifications - wide choice of hardware and software
  2. Software updates and maintenance (via Red Hat Network) at no extra charge with an active subscription
  3. Technical support (web, e-mail, and phone)
