Red Hat recently announced the availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Created in close collaboration with customers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is the cornerstone of Red Hat's increased effort to deliver additional value to customers.
To support the availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, we have important information to share with you on SKUs, quotes, and packaging.
There are two new server product packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform Provides comprehensive integrated server and storage virtualization capabilities, enabling customers to dramatically reduce both acquisition and operating costs for servers. Existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS customers will automatically move to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform when they renew their subscriptions. If you have an existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS customer that would like to move to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform prior to renewal, use the opportunity to:

It supports up to four virtualized guest operating systems. Existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES customers will automatically move to Red Hat Enterprise Linux when they renew their subscriptions.
If you have a customer who has standardized on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, ES, or AS, no problem, you can easily sell them more. If they want to buy more AS, sell them the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform SKU. If they want to buy more ES, sell them the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (1-2 socket) SKU. The customer will then have the ability to install the version most applicable to run (2.1, 3, 4, or 5).
